WMRT Behavior Expectations

Expectations for Athletes and Families

It is important to understand that athletes and families are representatives of WMRT whenever they are using the facilities at Wachusett as well as any ski area hosting a race. The race program fosters a sense of team building, race specific skiing skills, comraderie,  and fun among all athletes and families.

Athletes

• Athletes are expected to follow all rules and regulations of Wachusett Mountain as well as any hosting race mountain. Failure to do so may result in the loss of pass and consequently loss in training/racing opportunities.

• Athletes will represent themselves and the team with proper behavior in lift lines and with interactions with all patrons at Wachusett or host mountains.

• Athletes will report any incidents with other skiers and themselves to their age level coach as soon as an incident occurs.

• WMRT reserves the right to dismiss any athlete from training for the day for behavior that is deemed unacceptable or dangerous,

• Multiple incidents may result in the athletes relationship with WMRT to be terminated with no refund.

Parents

• Parents are expected to be encouraging and supportive of their own and other athletes from WMRT and other race programs.

• Parents are expected to address issues with coaches through a private message in WhatsApp or at the end of practice. Please understand that coaches may not be able to address your issues during training time in the lodge, on the hill, or during a race.

• Failure to follow these expectations will result in the program director addressing the parent directly.

• Multiple incidents may result in the athletes relationship with WMRT to be terminated with no refund.
